This page is an epitaph of sorts for Hub City Linux Users' Group.  You will not see any links here, as the group presently does not exist.

Hub City Linux Users' Group, or HubLUG, was my brainchild - I wanted to form a LUG in the Greater Hattiesburg Area that would be able to promote and otherwise encourage the development and use of Linux and its associated other programs for whatever purpose.

To make a long, sad story shorter - it died.  Death was due to a lack of will to live, primarily, as I have always maintained that there is plenty of room in the area for the USM LUG and another, non-academic LUG to co-exist and grow.  USM LUG, by the way, has always been supportive of HubLUG when it did exist.  For that, I am very grateful.  Thanks go especially to Drs. Kolibal and Seyfarth for their encouragement in the past.

Unfortunately, since it was my idea, everybody felt obligated to keep electing me President of the LUG, a VERY BAD idea - I'm not the leader type.  That, and I used to work offshore, so I couldn't really attend many meetings, etc., ad nauseum.

My circumstances have changed, and I am now working closer to home, but, upon reflection, I have decided not to have anything further to do with the resurrection of HubLUG, if for no other reason than to see if I was part of the problem...

So, if Hub City Linux Users' Group is ever resurrected, I'll clean up this little virtual pyre I've built, but I won't do much else -wouldn't want to jinx it!  I leave the resurrection to those more politically capable than I am.   I wish whoever does try it all the success in the world.
