Okay... You need help with Linux.  I'm here to help if I can...

First things first:  Like the song says, I know a little (and maybe I can guess the rest?)  I've been at it long enough to know nobody knows it all.  If I can't solve your problem, I'll kick it around for a while to see if I can learn something before I take it somewhere else.

Now that the legal BS is out of the way, let's get the steps down:
1.)  I'm not going to insist you read ALL the relevant documentation on a problem... but it would be nice if you had already tried some of the resources listed elsewhere on this website.  There's lots of good info out there if you are willing to dig a little.

2.)  If you don't know your hardware specs, please find them out before you ask for help.  This will save us both time.  If you need help identifying your hardware, I'll have to come visit you to help out, and that will take even more time.

3.)  When you're done with 1 and 2 above, drop me an email.  I check it at least daily, and will get back to you with at least an acknowledgement of receipt.  If we have to move to other means (chat, IM, face-to-face, whatever), we will first proceed from email.  (Sorry, I'm not posting my cell or work number on the web...)

This page was created using Mozilla Composer for Linux.  Cleanup was completed with KATE, the KDE Advanced Text Editor.  Graphics were manipulated using The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program).  For best viewing, set your video resolution to at least 800 X 600 pixels, at least 16-bit color depth.
