Also, you should check out our links page where we've listed courses that have their own web sites. We hope this helps you plan your next disc golf trip!
Courses
Fossil Peak
Desert Fox
University of Southern Mississippi
Rating System: We assign each course listed here a 1-5 disc rating based on the following factors:
- Quality course design/hole layout.
- Quality targets.
- Pro Shop.
- Quality course maintenance.
- Good hours of operation.
A course can get one disk for each of the 5 attributes above, resulting in a possible 5-disc course. For those truly outstanding courses, we will add a 6th disc to designate them as world-class courses.
We hope this at least gives you an impression of how much we like the course. Please remember that any such
rating system is extremely subjective, and that all of these courses are a tribute to the sport.

| Commentary: | 9 beautiful holes on the front with lots of open fairways and some trees. The front 9 holes are longer and take more strength to play. There are 9 brand new holes on the back in thick woods that take more finesse to play. If you're going to play the back 9, Bring your mosquito spray and calamine lotion. Check out the details of each hole.
Bonus: Take our advice and play this pickup hole after #5: Tee off on top of the hill above the #5 goal and shoot for the #4 bucket. It's truly awesome - probably 350 feet, and we've birdied it twice! - , and it's a shame that they didn't make it an official hole. |

| Commentary: | 18 great holes with lots of water and birdie opportunities. Three holes in deep woods. The most interesting hole on this course, #10, is on a peninsula surrounded on 3 sides by water, and you have to drive across water to reach it. Better bring your Dolphins. |

| University of Southern Mississippi Disc Golf Course |
| Location: | USM Hattiesburg, Mississippi |
| Rating: | |
| Holes: | 7 par 3's |
| Goal Type: | 5-gallon buckets nailed upside down on a 5-foot post. |
| Tee Type: | Dirt |
| Tee Signs: | No. |
| Course Hours: | 24/7 |
| Pro Shop: | No |
| Restrooms: | No |
| Camping: | No |
| Extras: | None |
| Commentary: | Bare minimum course located on about 3 acres. The object is to hit the bucket on top of each post. The tees are not clearly marked and there are no pointers to the next tee. You basically have to find each numbered bucket and throw from the bucket of the previous hole. We could only find 7 goals. I'm glad to see they're trying to start a course, but it won't be worth travelling to play until they get more real estate and some real targets. |
| Directions: | Hwy 49 south into Hattiesburg. Right onto 4th street then left onto Coliseum drive. The course is on the right immediately past the softball field. |
