Solomon Lee

Solomon Lee -- New Hanover County, North Carolina -- Solomon Lee (b. late 1750's New Hanover County, North Carolina, d. 1818 New Hanover County, North Carolina) son of Bryant Lee of New Hanover County, North Carolina, was listed in The D.A.R. Roster of Soldiers from North Carolina in the American Revolution, as serving in the militia from Wilmington District. Solomon's pay voucher (#1739) is in the custody of the State Archives of North Carolina.

The Treasurer and Comptroller Records of Revolutionary Army Accounts, Book of Claims for the Wilmington District from the 16th of October 1781 to August 1783, lists the following among claimants and amount of claims allowed:

Page 8 -- no. 579, Solomon Lee, 5 pounds, 5 shillings
Page 27 -- no. 1739, Solomon Lee, 13 pounds, 14 shillings, 6 pence

Levi Sirmon

Levi Sirmon -- Pitt County, North Carolina -- Levi Sirmon (b. late 1750s Maryland or North Carolina, d. 1799 Montgomery County, Georgia), son of John Sirmon of Hyde/Pitt Counties, North Carolina, enlisted on 20 Jul 1778 for a period of nine months with the rank of private in Childs Company, North Carolina Regiment of the Continental Line.

From the State Records of North Carolina, Army Records -- Halifax and Warrenton, Vol. XVII -- 1781-1785 #2505 Levi Surman's account was settled with the Continental Line from North Carolina between 1st. September 1784, and 1st February 1785. His settlement was received by John Daves.
