Daniel Taylor Sirmon

Daniel Taylor Sirmon -- Conecuh/Monroe Counties, Alabama -- Daniel Taylor Sirmon (b. 13 Sep 1817, d. 28 Dec 1899), son of Nathan Sirmon of Montgomery/Clarke Counties, Georgia, and Conecuh County, Alabama.

On 1 Jun 1836, Daniel Taylor Sirmon was enrolled in Capt. Jones' Company, 28 Reg't Ala. Mil. (This Company was assigned to Smith's Reg't Alabama Mounted Vols. (Creek War, 1836).) at Pine Orchard, Monroe County, Alabama, for a period of three months.

The copy of his honorable discharge was dated Irvinton, 25 Jul 1836, and signed by William Jones, Capt. Irvinton is now known as Eufaula in Barbour County, Alabama.
