A Special Note(The following were selected from entries written in the Guest Book Online and included with Winston's obituary.)
July 18, 2010 I will never forget the wonderful memories I have of Uncle Pete, Aunt Minnie and my dear cousins. Of family times, summers, and the time you guys helped my Mama "tote the load," during a very hard time when we all were still very young children. I have many fond memories of you all, but I especially remember Uncle Pete being so quiet and gentle in our noisy, happy family, and how he always seemed to have a perpetual smile! I can remember watching Uncle Pete and Aunt Minnie and their love for each other and their children...and admiring it so much. Each time I saw him he was the same kind, loving, gentle man I remembered from my childhood. I know we don't see each other often but I want you all to know you are loved and very fondly remembered by this "Mississippi Cousin." I am praying for you all during this bitter-sweet time. Uncle Pete was a wonderful Christian example to me and anyone else who knew him, I am sure. I'll never, ever forget him... ~ Karen ----- July 17, 2010 If there is one word that described Pete Sirman (my uncle), it is "SPECIAL." I didn't get to see him as often as I would have liked, even a short visit was special. He made you feel important to him. With love, ~ Ann |
