Presentations--(Saturday afternoon of the 11th)

Three presentations were made during the afternoon session. First, the impact of the Civil War in England on the families in the Severn Valley was discussed. Second, the DNA Project was discussed and the newly identified family lines were noted. Finally, the deep ancestry and family migration patterns as show from DNA studies was discussed. These discussions gave a very interesting overview of the S*rm*n family from the 1400s.

Eldersfield--(Friday the 17th)

Eldersfield in the Severn Valley is the site of Cowslip Meadow, the first land found to be leased by one of the S*rm*n famiy. William Sermon, born in 1430, leased this parcel of land. All S*rm*n families of the Severn Valley descend from this S*rm*n family unit. St. John's Church is the church at Eldersfield.
