contours provocations
journal - 2007-0330 - fri 1700 journal | archives | home | e-mail What did I write this morning?; Lunch and Broadband and Stevedores At lunch today, I was trying to remember how I finished what I wrote this morning. I recalled the "Boom, Boom" section and some of the "Mowing," but the last part was blank. I always get very drowsy after a combination of klonopin, xanax, lexapro, and wellbutrin. Today I also had the last avelox and a decongestant, gentex. So even though the last part looks like I was trying to be funny, that's how it came out. I noticed when I rebooted the laptop, I'd just place in hibernation mode. I'm afraid one day, I'll look at the last few entries, and they'll be like Jack Nicholson's notebook in "The Shining." Crab salad, roll, grilled chicken, corn, butter beans. Dessert was a slab of lemon pie. And as I got ready to leave I filled a small cone with orange and vanilla yogurt. For a change, I tried to listen to some of the conversations around me, but the noise level made everything sound garbled. There was an article in the April copy of "Wired" about the renewed interest in broadband because of the increased speeds that are being offered. Comcast is offering up to 16 Mbps; Verizon provides 30 Mbps to about 700,000 homes and recently rolled out 50 Mbps. (I'm suppose to be getting up to 6 Mbps, but at the moment, the speed test page is down.) Broadband does not apply to the patrons of the buffett, although some were present. They now offer a new service that let's you hire a stevedore to carry your plate(s) to your table. (And you fucking better remember to tip them.) PAX! Erin Go Braugh!
