Daylight Savings Time???

How on earth did I miss that Daylight Savings Time starts tomorrow!

Tomorrow! But it's still fucking winter.

Apparently according to an article at Daylight Saving Time, the The Energy Policy Act of 2005, beginning in 2007, Daylight Saving Time is brought forward by 3 or 4 weeks in Spring and extended by one week in the Fall.

No doubt, this is an idea concocted by avaricious businesses and sporting larkers.

A whole additional 60 minutes for participating in the ritual act of purchase: tantamount to sheer mammon.

But it does allow for an extra hour of sporting activities in the evening. Primarily the one involving the throwing of canvas-covered spheres at a person holding a three-feet piece of wood or aluminum. One of the most time-wasting, boring .actions in the history of humanity.

I detest DST. In addition to the above, it also means an extra hour of heat at the end of day.

Each morning that I'm up, I've noticed that the school bus stop outside at 6:45, which will now be 5:45. Most will have to wait by the street in the dark. What a terrible safety hazard.

They will need to be issued candles, sparklers, candles or a jar of lightning bugs,

The only sensible state is Arizona which refuses to accept this gimcrackery. I plan to start looking for remote desert property.within the next week.
