Some of these are downright sophomoric: the perfect place for flaming fart videos and "funny shit." Ah! But the true treasure trove is OVGuide - Online Video Guide. This is a mega/meta site of almost unbelievable depth. I immediately homed in on TV Links and found 11 episodes of "Torchwood." Along with "Doctor Who," "Firefly," "Red Dwarf," "Black Adder." I also came across a dated, but very interesting site called Multimedia SearchEngines: Image, Audio & Video Searching. Of special interest is the last entry: "Searching Inside Of Images" from December 2000 - "Roundup of players who were hoping to advance image search but failed to survive the dotcom downturn. Also describes the problem most image search engines have -- the inability to actually "see" inside of images." I also encounter another artificial browser, but I'll have to backtrack to find it. (search-wise-net Homepage Image Capture from: search-wise-net Homepage)
In this episode, "Combat," the black "Torchwood" SUV pulls up to a crime scene, and the following paraphrased conversation takes place with the female police inspector. Inspector: Do you always get this dressed up for a murder investigation?" (Captain Jack Image from: BBC - Torchwood - Agents workstations, Captain Jack - Download Gallery) PAX!
