OCD and Early Morning Yarding; Lunch and "Details"; Knotty Pine - Again; Green Arrow

OCD and Early Morning Yarding

I woke up around 9:30 and immediately decided I would finish raking the front yard. That has a tinge of obsessive-compulsiveness to it that is slightly disorienting. I've noticed a tiny sensation of OCD cropping up from time to time in the last few months. As though I'm faced with too many things that must be done, but so far it has not proven overpowering.

Surprisingly, I was finished in about 45 minutes, just in time to shower and clean up for lunch.

Lunch and "Details"

I found a nice corner table near a window and nibbled at my lunch as I read the latest copy of "Details." Well, actually, I'm not sure one "reads" "Details." It looks more like a graphic novel.

Within the first ten pages, I came across a double-page ad for Gap (RED), an initiative to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa. Initially, Gap promised to donate 50% of the profits from the sale of Gap (RED) products to the effort. But the drive has now expanded to produce the merchandise in the affected countries.

However, what caught my attention was the young model wearing only a (RED) T-shirt as a head band. He had the look of a debauched leprechaun. Ragamuffin hair, a ginger goatee, crooked smile and Venetian red skin. Jail bait, I thought.

In my search to find his image via Gap (RED), I discovered he is Apolo Anton Ohno, an Olympic award-winning short track speed skater. And he's definitely beyond the jail bait stage.

Knotty Pine - Again

After lunch, I tried cleaning another door in the knotty pine cabinets. As usual, I over did it and scratched the surface. Maybe knotty pine will always look dirty.

At least I got some of the grime off the worst spots. I think trying to clean the shelves would be a lost cause.

This absolutely has been one of the most irritating tasks.

Green Arrow

I think I've mentioned that "Smallville" has introduced Green Arrow as played by Justin Hartley.

Is he not the most gorgeous creature?

PAX!
