More Edward VIII; Diana, Princess of Wales - Squidgygate; Haditha - Iraq

More items I've encountered of late.

More Edward VIII

As I was browsing the other day about Edward VIII, I also came across another article at Wikipedia titled Operation Willi.

"Operation Willi was the German code name for the unsuccessful attempt by the SS to kidnap Edward, Duke of Windsor in July 1940 and induce him to work with Hitler for either a peace settlement with Britain, or a restoration to the throne after the German conquest of Great Britain."

In 1996 Edward Windsor (third son of Elizabeth II) produced a documentary of Edward VIII called, "Edward VIII." Arrarently the chief preoccupation of the Windsors for many years was given dinner parties. Seemingly Richard Burton as he was departing, whispered to Elizabeth Taylor Burton, "If I every have to come to another one of these, please just shoot me.")

Diana, Princess of Wales - Squidgygate

While I was on the subject of British royalty, I also thought I see what Wikipedia had to say about Diana. There's a lengthy article at Diana, Princess of Wales.

At bottom of the article is a reference to Squidgydate. The gist is that a telephone conversation of Diana via a landline has been recorded, then played back several days later on non-commercial radio frequencies. The conversation was then recorded by at least two individuals unaware of the time discrepency.

If you'll remember, this was a period during which Charles and Di were embroiled in a public battle to see who could provide the unwashed masses with the juciest gossip about the other person.

The article goes on to add a number of denials by MI5. However the Canadian intelligence services were used to spy on a number of individuals.

At the bottom of the article is info about a Freedom of Information request to the American National Security Agency from the APB News Online.

"The news agency's request for documents on Diana, held by America's National Security Agency, had been rejected, but the rejection notice itself revealed that a total of 1,056 pages of documents is held by the NSA, CIA, State department, and the Defense Intelligence Agency DIA."

Essentially, the Brits were using the Yanks to spy on Diana. To the tune of 1,056 pages!

Not to be too overcome with conspiracy theories, this does make one wonder. By the way if you feel in the need for true paranoia, read ECHELON. It makes the goings on at NSA look like a "moon cast shadow."

A few days after reading this, suddenly there was new evidence in the on-going investigation on the Paris car accident. See New Diana evidence.

Haditha - Iraq

Koyaanisqatsi - ko.yaa.nis.qatsi, n. (Hopi). 1. crazy life. 2. life in turmoil. 3. life disintegrating. 4. life out of balance. 5. a state of life that calls for another way of living.
