Unwell

I had lunch today at one of the national chain restaurants. But it didn't seem very tasty, so I ate half and placed the remainder in a take-out box. Then I thought I'd drive to a small town to the east. I've driven by it on the Interstate, but I don't recall visiting the downtown area. Or even if it had a downtown.

I traveled about halfway on the Interstate, then switched over to a state highway. I like the small not-so-busy roads; it gives you a chance to see the true nature of a place.

In the midst of this, I realized I did not feel well, and that unwell sensation quickly turned to nausea. This told me that whatever I had last week was back again.

On the way home, I stopped at the clinic and only had to wait about 15 minutes. In the examing room, I waited another 15 minutes before the doctor showed up. He left, and I waited for directions on providing a urine analysis. That taken care of, I waited for a blood sample to be drawn. Then waited for the doctor to return.

The blood test revealed a high white blood count which idicated that it was something viral. Hh also said they would be looking for signs of hepatitis, but the resulta would not be known until tomorrow. He prescribed some pills for nausea. And asked for me to bring in a stool sample, so it could also be examined. (He also prescribed some antibiotics in case a problem showed up in this exam.)

I came home to check on mother, then went out again to the pharmacy. And what did I do at the pharmacy - wait.

I was ever so glad to get my prescritions and head home. I took the antinausea medicine around 5 and a second dose around 9. I'm hoping this will make me feel better

PAX!
