Flea Treatment; Mother; Web Cams

Yesterday evening, I didn't feel well and when I woke up this morning I felt downright dizzy. So I sent an e-mail off to work and went back to bed. And I've slept most of the day. Which is extremly rare, since most times, I'll feel overly-tired but too wired to sleep.

I have a theory that this bout was some type of allergic reaction to a flea treatment I gave the cats Tuesday night. The treatment was one of those cheaper ones you find at WalMart. And one of the side effects is a strong lingering pesticide odor that I'm certainly aware of. The cats seem to be sleeping an unusual amount, so it may have bothered them too.

The treatments that come from the vet don't have these problems, but they are considerably more expensive. Hence my reasoning in not using them this time. But if it keeps me and the kitties from being sick, I'm sure it's worth the cost.

My struggle with what is best for mother continues. Again and again, every time, I read something I'll discover some information that confuses me. So I'm really hoping the visit with the attorney tomorrow morning will help.
One of the greatest benefits of the web is stumbling on something by serendipity. I started off reading about Battlefield Britian. Then I slipped over to the Talk History Message Board, where I found a reference to "centimetric radar" which I was curious about.

A search under Google led me to Opentopia Encyclopedia. (By the way, note the reference to Wikipedia at the boom of the page.) Which led me to the Opentopia home page.

At the left top of the page, you'll noticed thumbnail images. Click on one and you're taken to one of the most amazing pages on the web. Random live webcams from the Net. In the right column there's a reference to BoingBoing's Still more random Googleable webcams. Essentially someone was able to find the cameras by searching through Goggle for the underlying code related to web cams. As you read, you'll see a number of other search options.

It's easy to forget that Google allows for searching of the code as well as the text. This is especiallt significant that no matter the language of the text, the code will always be in English.

One of the most incredible cams is one in China that allows for control moements by the user. See http://211.167.82.2/view/view.shtml. There's something very weir about being able to sit in my living room and control a remote camera in China.

Also if you go wandering around, you'll find that some of the cams are obviously security cameras. Some at airports.

Back to Wikipedia. "Wikipedia is an encyclopedia written collaboratively by its readers. The site is a Wiki, meaning that anyone, including you, can edit almost any article right now by clicking on the edit this page link that appears at the top of the page. But, before you do just that, you might want to read this page."

Note the "series of terrorist attacks" link. The page is one of the most discerning examinations of today's events that I've seen.

For far I've not seen anyone make a comparison with today's events and the HBO film Dirty War that aired in January. Some chilling similarities.

PAX!
