DSL; Nexium

I'm sitting here contending with the felines for space on the couch. And trying out my new high speed web connection - DSL.

I tried to figure out which connection was better - cable or DSL. But to no avail. I finally decided on DSL because of some rebates. That does not mean that I know for certain that it is the faster.

(I hate having to made decisions about an issue that I can't figure out. Whatever decision I make, I immediately know it's wrong. Then I panic, and the melt down starts.)

The modem came yesterday, and I made a stab at setting up the connection last night. But I felt so fatigued that I knew it would be a mistake. Of course, about ten minutes into the process, the computer froze. At least I had enough sense to stop at the point and go to bed.

This evening I started over, and it took about 20 minutes. BellSouth provided a top-notch installation CD that make everything painless. I did wind up with a power strip, two power converters, assorted power cords, modem and phone cords on the floor next to the couch. Just as I finished the connections and headed for the kitchen for a drink, I heard the distinctive sound of one of the cats being sicky poo.

When I came back I looked around for the "results," but I didn't see anything. That is until I sat on the couch, then I saw the spot. The kitty had made a direct hit on the new modem.

Last time, I was muttering about tummy problems. I would feel better for awhile, then worse. Over the holidays, I decided I needed to go to the doctor again. Which I did Monday. And I now have a batch of samples of Nexium.

Oh, me! Oh, my! Another malady to worry with. But so far the results of the Nexium have been positive. I'm hoping the improvement will continue.

Enough! I'm weary.

PAX!
