contours provocations
journal - 2003-0326 - 2000 Cold; LAPD; Snuggle Bunny A couple of days ago, I was muttering about the heat. Last night, it rained, and the temp dropped - dramatically. When I stepped outside this morning, it was chilly. Once in the car, I quickly turned up the heat. At work, the building was C O L D. When lunch came, I returned home and picked up a sweater and a heavier jacket. The first thing I did when I got home this evening was to turn up the heat. And at last, I feel halfway warm. Earlier I was looking through "Advocate" and came across an ad for the Los Angeles Police Department. Domestic partner benefits were indicated. Interesting. Recently I saw a tee shirt that on the front said, "LAPD." And on the back, "We treat you like a king!" About every couple of months, I go through a period of wanting a boy friend. A sensible, funny guy. Expressive. Intelligent. Slightly shy. A snuggle bunny. But nothing happens. Bells do not ring. No one knocks on the door. I'm not filled with sudden joy. Crap! Crap! Crap! PAX!
