journal - 2001-0419 - thu 2030 Shades, Bill, Greg, Chat? Was I not muttering a few days ago about the weather jumping from winter to summer? Well now I want to complain about the return of winter. The last three nights have been downright cold, not just chilly, but COLD! I woke up Tuesday night and noticed my balls were turning a delightful shade of eggplant blue. And not from not jacking off but from the fucking temperature. Also on Tuesday, I went by the grocery store for assorted supplies. As I'm standing in line, there was a break in the background music, and a voice said, "And now for a trivia question. Which Shakespearan character said ..." I thought what a weird trivia question for a grocery store! Maybe, one person in 1,000 would know the answer. Knowing what I know about this store, I'm sure there are people there who have no idea who Bill was. Talk about misjudging your consumer audience! One day this week, I watched an A&E Biography program on Greg Louganis. Possibly the most interesting nugget was that his accident on the diving board (he hit his head as he came down) at the 1988 Olympics may have been the result of disorientation caused AZT. My first discovery of Greg was by accident long ago when I caught part of a program on teen atheletes. I was immediately infatuated. I had no idea who he was. All I knew was that he took my breath away, literaly, because I stood there with my mouth open, gaping at him. If the program has been on a little longer, I'm sure I would have run over to the tv and started licking the screen. Later I remember reading an article in GQ that certainly gave a hint that he was gay. And I remember a chat room discussion at about the same time in which someone mentioned that he knew someone who had dated him. Some how I was oblivious to his nude spread in Playgirl. I'm not sure how I found out about that. I've been able to collect the photos from the shoot off the net. And I've seen a couple of nude shots from a movie he did for Playboy. Very odd about that, it is obviously him, but I've never seen another reference to the movie. Last night, I ambled around on gay.com. And I think it was my first time to enter one of the chats. But I never came across one for this area. In fact I went looking for it because someone had mentioned it. But I couldn't find it. So I resorted to dropping into some others. Appears to be similiar to the AOL rooms without the limits on number of participants. PAX!
