Tiring week; Confessions; Jesus and BK; Bulges

What a tiring week. Not so much difficult but frustrating. I'd do something and then an hour later realize it was wrong. Or I couldn't decide how to set something up. Or it wouldn't look right. So on and so on.

And all this week my sleeping was short-lived and erratic. It would be after 1 before sleep would arrive. Then I'd wake at 5 or 6. Crap! Crap! And double crap!

Thursday morning at 12:30, I turned on the telly and watched HBO's "Taxicab Confessions." I'm always amazed at the technical aspects. Lipstick-sized cameras in the roof; batteries and recorders in the trunk. And obviously the cameras work in very low lighting. In a way, I'm always surprised at the willingness of the riders to reveal so much. But much of this is due to the superb ability of the "cabbies" to prompt the talkers. And to show just the right amount of concern or shock at what is being said without appearing judgmental.

A stray thought crossed my mind for the first time as I watched. I wondered if any of the passengars were set ups. It would not be difficult to hire some unknown actors and slip them in.

I had dinner last night with a friend. I worked late and went directly to his house. Even on a Thurday night, the restaurant was crowded. Curiously enough he had been in Las Vegas recently. In fact, he said his fellow passengar asked their driver if there were any cameras in the cab. The driver said another company held the contract with HBO. So there went his possiblity of 15 minutes of fame.
Usually each morning I stop at Burger King on the way to work for my early morning snack. But for the past few Fridays, BK has been taken over by a large number of munchkins who meet for a prayer breakfast. After eating, there is a spiritual pep talk by a minister. The one talk I overheard was about a diver in a darkened gym who sees a cross on the wall, looks down and discovers the pool is empty.

I can't decide if the group is from a public or non-public school. Or for that matter, if they are from the same school. In fact, my thinking may have been backwards. They may be members of a church but attend different schools.

Today's redeeming feature was finding a copy of International Male in my post office box. Where or where do they find those guys? Buffed. Built. Cute but rugged. And with the most flawless skin. However, I've been told the bulges are "enhanced" by an anatomically correct cup-like device.

PAX!
