"How Can I Get to Heaven?"; AOL and raw sex; Erotica

"How Can I Get to Heaven?"

At lunch today, someone slipped a religious pamphlet under the windshield wiper of my car. When I first saw it I thought it must be an advert for one of the stores. However, it was a small yellow piece of paper; at the top, in red print it said, "How Can I Get to Heaven?" I plucked it from the windshield and put it on the seat along with my magazine. In a few minutes, the perfect answer to the question came to me: "You turn left at Greenland!

AOL and raw sex

Last night, as per the customary and usual practice, I was unable to sleep, so I returned to the Net, and surfed over to AOL. Although I've had an AOL account for years, I rarely use it. Any time I go to AOL, there is always a huge stack of spam waiting. But there was also an actual message from someone who had read my profile for that screen name. As I tried to find his profile, I got an instant message from him. We chatted for a while, but he was far too "eager." We did the "What are you interested in?" routine, but it appeared he wanted something else.

Several years ago, I really enjoyed AOL. I had ongoing correspondences with about a dozen interesting and intelligent people. But then as it became more mainstream, the action moved to the chats, and the correspondences slowly vanished. The chats have become increasingly mercenary and slightly scary. I always like to know just a little about the other party; there are far too many crazies out there not to know something.

I can only think of a couple of guys I've met from AOL. One was very sweet, but I knew he was not really interested in me. The other was married and wanted only raw sex. Which I was willing to accept under the circumstances until his wife called one day on the cell phone. Then I began to think that maybe this was not such a good idea. I could see her kicking down the door and blasting away with a shotgun. However, I did try to contact him again, but he had changed his screen name.

Erotica

I've decided to try my hand, no pun intended, at erotica. But first I need to find an ISP that won't have a cow about "adult material." I'm talking something above the level of the generic "fuck story." Something with a certain amount of style to it. Not too wordy, but something a little novelty to it.

PAX!
