BJ and running shoes; SV and JM; Indecisive

CBS premiered "Survivor" tonight. This is the one about people placed on a desert island, etc. Best thing were two funny, funny commercials about running shoes. Of course, I don't remember the brand, just the story lines. Two guys, who have no concept of the outdoors, are treking through the woods. One screams he's been bitten by a snake on the right leg and pulls it up holding it with his left hand. The other sezs he knows what to do and begins sucking the wound. Jogging woman enters from stage left, camera pulls back to show the two guys. And you realize it looks like their in the middle of a blow job! Tag line from announcer is something about "get better advice ... try shoe brand."

Today as yesterday was blah, blah, blah! Then around 11, I was listening to WUMF, the free-form audio channel on the net, and up came a song by Sarah Vaughan. Sarah is among the great feamale song interpreters, so it is always an unexpected pleasure to encounter her. And this was of special significance because I'd never heard it before. "I Wish I Were in Love Again." B U T it was not Sarah Vaughan, It was Joni Mitchell! Joni Mitchell? Joni Mitchell! The lady of "Big Yellow Taxi" fame. Never would I have guessed.

This is not exactly the entry I wanted to make, but it'll have to do. I keeping becoming indecisive about what I want to say or not say, so I'm going in circles.
