"Prince of Hearts"; Wash, Spin, Dry; N'Synch

"Prince of Hearts"

By accident, I caught the last half of Masterpiece Theatre's "Prince of Hearts" about an hour ago. Although it has aired before I'd never watched it, and I now realize what a loss that was. Any opportunity to see Robson Green is worth it. I think I first came across him in "Touching Evil." I then began reading about him and found how what a sensation he was in the UK. And I can understand why. He is so incredibly virile but not caddish. And those piercing blue eyes are striking. He manages to convey an ordinariness that seems to be very genuine. An actor who is not in awe of his own appeal. Certainly, I rank him among the sexiest of men.

Wash, Spin, Dry

Since the dirty clothes were beginning to overflow the baskets, I forced myself, as usual, to go to the coin laundry this afternoon. By the time I got everything into the car, I realized I had four pairs of jeans, two bedspreads, ten or so towels, about three dozen shirts, around a zillion socks and undies, sheets, pillowcases, and walking shorts. There is a laundry around the corner, but I've become slightly uneasy using it - some of the clientele give me the creeps. A couple of months ago, I discovered one that is better kept, larger and not as crowded. When I finished distributing everything, I had taken over seven washers. The washing went quickly, but the drying was interminable. Maybe that's why it's not crowded. Even after using five dryers, nothing was truly dry.

N'Synch

On the way to and from the laundry, I kept playing with the buttons on the car radio. Listening to free form channels via the Net can certainly spoil you. The options in the car were rap, gospel, more rap, county, oldies, golden oldies, 60s oldies, rap, country, etc. Although I did wind up humming along with N'Synch. And I did come across "The Cowsills," who had one hit, were comprised of a family including mom and were the "inspiration" for "The Partridge Family." And one channel was offering girl doo wop groups.

The other evening, I caught three of the N'Synch-ers on "Howard Stern." One of Howard's penetrating questions was who had the biggest penis. And they each one raised their hand!

PAX!
