Monday; Bruce Willis; Little Boy Blue; "Guitars, Cadillacs and Cats"

Monday

Well, Monday has come and mostly gone. Thank the goddess. I'm sure I had to change the work home page about 20 times today. One little fact would drift in; then another; and another; etc. What a pain!

Yesterday, I felt lousy all day. A sinus headache that defied all efforts at relief. You would think that with all the stuff I'm taking, at least I'd be spared a headache. And of course, it was after 2 before I could go to sleep, and then the cats woke me several times. So I loitered through the day. But there was so much to do that the day slipped by quickly.

Bruce Willis

During the "I couldn't sleep" phrase, I watched "Color of Night" on Cinemax. Speaking of which I just caught the delectable Ryan Phillippe in a brief nude scene in something called "Little Boy Blue" on Cinemax 2. And lo and behold, "Ed Wood" is on Cinemax. And now it looks like Ryan is humping the bed! I really should be watching "Brutally Normal" on WB.

Back to the discussion of "Color of Night." Bruce Willis plays a psychiatrist from New York whose psychiatrist friend in LA has been murdered by a member of his group therapy session. So Bruce agrees to hang around and try to figure out who the killer is. What I noticed was what a virile presence Willis is. Then it occurred to me that I've never paid much attention to him. It also made me curious to see "Sixth Sense."

I tried to go to sleep, could not, came back to watch some more. It took me a few minutes to figure out that the picture was frozen. Then I tried Max 2; also frozen. But it both cases, the audio continued. Weird. Then I checked back later, same story.

Little Boy Blue

I've wandered back to "Little Boy Blue." And it is hynotic! Flawed charcters. Low-key. Scary. Two kids of around six or seven who are incredible. Ryan Phillippe is fascinatingly believable. (Pause) Well, I've just watching the ending. Holy fuck!!! How odd to stumble on something so fascinating.

Guitars, Cadillacs and Cats

The cats are curled up on the couch beside me, or at least three of them are. I'm sure the other two are on the bed. I often think at night that they are here to protect me from evil spirits. What do they see that we don't? And what do they know? Several years ago when I had pneumonia, they were about the only thing that helped me through the day, And whenever I get really flaky, they seem to sense my confusion.

PAX!
