Mulder has just stumbled onto a group of zombies or the undead dead. And boy, do they look hungry and pissed. Now is not the time for a Kit Kat commercial. This is the episode that concludes the Millennium series, I think. Frank Black and Mulder are wrestling with the undead. What is this shit with the Book of Revelation? What was John on when he wrote it? Were there weird cacti in the biblical deserts?
One of the "neat-ooo" events of the weekend has been that Time Warner Cable has been offering a special preview of the Sundance Channel. Kewl! The only problem is that I keep having to go to their web site to figure out what I'm watching. The on-screen guide tells zilch. Definitely not your usual mass-market films. The quirkest, and in a way the most hypnotic, was ""π. Really manages to crawl into your subconscious. Now I'm watching another, but I don't know what it is. We're in Canada with the boyfriend from "Rosanne" and one of the female friends of "Friends." Something about a bisexual teacher, a woman having a baby, etc. My gosh! Lyle Lovett has just shown up. What an interesting face he has - slopping angles and convex surfaces. Had really never noticed before. (Film was "Opposite of Sex.") Give me independent films any day instead of the ponderous Hollywood epic crap. I need to find out about subscribing."
Nothing exciting. Din din last night with friends at Macaroni's; a snazzy seafood crepe. A brief trip out this afternoon, but the usual haunts were closed: something to do with an important televised athletic event. Made my made to Chill's and had a chicken-rice-corn-beans dish, which turned out not to be good for my digestive system. PAX!
