That more or less says it all. After four days off, it was back to the lute mill this morning. I don't like going back to work after holidays. Everything becomes so hectic. For every task accomplished, a dozen others appear.
Last week, was the first time I saw Angel. Not impressed. So I was curious to see if this week's version was better. And indeed it is. "The mick's got spine!" Spike to Doyle. Never let it be said that the Irish do not have spunk. I need to know more about Doyle, very intriguing character. A tad intense. More violent than I had anticipated. Is it my imagination or not, but hasn't Angel had a lot of torture scenes?
The friends I had lunch with Sunday gave me a great Christmas present book - "Jack Kerouac Selected Letters 1957-1969." I've always been intrigued by The Beats - the great iconoclast of the 20th century.
Windstorms struck the state last night bringing some brief rain and tornadoes. While some areas have blizzards, or earthquakes, or tidal waves, or forest fires, we have tornadoes. Quick funnels in the night have never been my idea of fun. The temp starting dropping last night, so that by lunch today, it was cold. Not the dry kind of cold either, but the wet seepy kind. Today's clouds were gray with flat bottoms and arching tops like giant buns from a stratospheric oven. This has definitely been a hodgepodge set of entries. And I've certainly not made any cogent observations. PAX!
