Eric Close - post-preppy yumyum; wooly fog; classifieds2000.com; law student; "GWM ISO boy toy for fun and frolic"

Fate has actually contrived to allow me to see a complete episode of "Now and Again." I first saw the star Eric Close several years ago in "Dark Skies." He has that post-preppy yumyum look and appears more buffed that before. "Now and Again" is a variation of the '70s "Six Million Dollar Man." Regular personality implanted into super-body. (Uh, Oh! It looks like its going to have a Thanksgiving Day sub-theme. I hate holiday-theme programs; all that contrived geniality makes me want to puke.)

Fog covered the streets this morning. Thick, wooly, dampish fog. The last time it was foggy, I could not see the top floors of the St. Dominic Medical Tower. Today, I could not even find it; zip, nothing, not even a blur. But when I slipped out at noon, it had vanished: the fog, not the Tower.

Last night, I rambled through the personals at classifieds2000.com which is part of Excite. Seemingly thousands of personals that you can search by just about anything from age to fetish. I've met several people from ads on AOL, but not a lot. There was certainly never a melding of minds. The closest I came was a law student from Philadelphia. I even sent him flowers on Valentine's Day. He was living with his parents at the time, and he said that when he came home, his father said, "Some chick from the law school sent you flowers." We corresponded and telephoned back and forth for several months, then his messages became less frequent. Once about a year ago, I got a brief message and a photo, but he never responded to my messages. Well, Nickey, if you're out there somewhere, I'd still like to know how you are.

I've always found it difficult to meet people. Here about the only spot were guys congregate are the two or three bars. But that crowd can be very predatory, and I'm way past the club kid stage. Some time ago, I tried a social organization, but I was amazed at the categorical racism and sheer stupidity of some of the members. That does not leave me a lot of options.

Keith of keithcam mentioned classifieds2000, but I'd not heard of it. He wrote of wanting to place an ad, which he recently did. Even living in San Fransciso, he has problems meeting a soulmate.

If I place an ad, I'll say something like, "eccentric, wealthy GWM needs boy toy for fun and frolic." (As of 02/07 update, classifieds2000 is no longer operational.)

Another day.

PAX!
