Marilyn auction at Christie's; "She was so incredibly sexy, but at the same time, she was so very needy."; Unable to find more info on the web about Brad Davis

This is different! I'm writting AFTER doing my nightly web browsing. Last night, I caught part of the Marilyn auction from Christie's, and was interested in the outcome. So I did the search engine search and found zilch. After 15 minutes of zigging and zagging, I realized, I was looking under the name "Christy's." DUUUUHHH! The right spelling made it much easier to find the official site. According to the info, bidding was far, far beyond expectations. They listed the top ten items and the bid estimates. Far beyond is an understatment. Over $1 mil for the Kennedy Birthday dress!!! Near $700,000 for the white baby grand that had an estimate of around $20-30,000.

There was a pause here, while I went looking for an article on Marilyn by Norman Mailer. There were several sentences that summarized out fascination with Marilyn. Alas, I can not find it, so I may no longer have it. I think the key phrases dealt with her sexual vulnerability. She was so incredibly sexy, but at the same time, she was so very needy.

I was also trying to find some more information on Brad Davis of "Midnight Express" fame. Found references to his movies but little else. A few links to comments about the wife's book This is one of the odd features of the web - there is not a lot of data that goes back more than a few years.

No more tonight!

PAX!
