contours provocations
journal - 1999-0928 - tue 2200 journal | archives | home | e-mail Tired and Wired There actually seems to be rain in the air. Several times in the last hour, I've heard sporadic raindrop-sounds on the window air conditioning. And the forecast for tomorrow indicates that rain is a strong possibility. Anytime I have a respiratory bug and start using a new antihistamine or decongestant, my sleeping habits become chaotic. I finally went to sleep around 2:30 Sunday night. Last night, it was near 1:30 or so. So today, every effort was drudgery. I think I accomplished something, but I'm not sure. No telling what kind of idiocy I'll find tomorrow when I check today's work. The season premiere of "That '70s Show" was on earlier. Very funny as usual. Hyde cooks up "special" brownies for a garage sale, and, of course, mom and pot wind up stoned. (WOW! The last sentence was supposed to read "...mom and pop...! But who could ask for a better Freudian slip!) I actually had lunch at a Chinese restaurant at noon. Something, I rarely do. The MSG always makes me feel blotted and jumpy. That may explain why I feel very tired and very wired this eve. (Have you heard the joke about the German-Chinese restaurant? Two hours after eating, you invade Poland!) Enough nonsense for one evening. PAX!
