Streaming Media; Animated Graphic Problem; Laundry; "Farscape"

The first time since this morning that I've had a chance to rest. Was exhausted last night, went to sleep at 11 or so, woke up at 2, could not go back to sleep. Decided to dip into the wonders of the Net which I did until 4.

Have been trying streaming audio again at work. Every time I learn something, I discover more puzzles. Wanted to try the same source in varying formats. So I've been using Radio GoGaGa which is available via RealAudio, RealAudio G2, QuickTime and MediaPlayer. GoGaGa appears to be a unique source with its bizarre mix of rap, lounge music, techno, new age, gospel, spoken word, folk, grassroots. Because of its popularity, it occasionally becomes inaccessible. But I've been wondering if one format works better than another, so I've been switching between G2 and MediaPlayer. I upgraded MediaPlayer yesterday, and it certainly seems to have a better aural quality than before. However, I'm not sure if I can tell the difference between the two formats. And I have no idea where this leaves me.

Have had a strange problem with an animated graphic for several days. The graphic looks fine in PaintShopPro but when uploaded to the server, a silhouette-like after image remained from the initial frame. I could view only the graphic in the browser, and again it looked ok. Very puzzling. The graphic is also a link, so I happened to notice that it a double after it. I removed one, and the problem disappeared! Why and how, I have no idea.

After getting home, I had to go to the laundry. I keep seeing the same person there whenever I go. In fact I know who he is, but he does not know it. One of those guys who has the ability to always look almost perfect. The kind of guy who could wear a white flannel suit into a coal mine and come out spotless. I of course would trip over a shovel a hundred yards from the entrance and fall into a giant mud puddle.

Once home, I had to dash around the house to keep the cats from the laundry. They love to frolic in my shirts, burrow under the towels, curl up and kick my undies onto the floor. Feline urchins!

Need to finish up since I want to watch SciFi. They are running special episodes of "Farscape" each night this week. Since I've only recently gotten the channel I'm trying to catch up with the "Fascape" episodes. My interest has nothing to do with the lead performer; nothing whatsoever! If they could only work in a few shower scenes!

PAX!
