contours provocations
journal - 1999-0911 - sat 2100 journal | archives | home | e-mail Uneventful A very uneventful day. I went out once to take momsy to the grocery store and Macaroni's for lunch. Her life has always been and is one of relationships: mother, daughter, sister, wife, aunt, great aunt, cousin. Her youngest sister died recently after a long illness, and the death greatly affected her.
INTERRUPTION!!!
Momsy and I talked of cousins, of which there are many. And children of cousins. And re-marriages. And children from previous marriages. Too complicated for me! She did mention that one cousin is now married to someone who was previously "connected" to a very high ranking national politician; one known for the his stance on "family values" and morality. Politics make strange bedfellows - literally! INTERRUPTION #2!!! Strange noises from the bedroom. Off to the bedroom I go. Closet door is open which spells trouble. Minerva is on the top shelf playing in the carefully folded blankets and sheets. Seeing me, she immediately slips to the far corner, where it will be more difficult to get her. Have to push blanket up to force her into center whence I can collar her. Once home this afternoon, I indulged myself in a journal-reading binge. Gads, but I admire the candor. I always feel like my journal is emotionally evasive. That I'm not telling how really depressed or isolated or disconnected I feel. Or go into detail about my sense of sexual frustration. On the cheery, self-indulgent thought, it's time to turn left at the fork in the road. PAX!
