'Cause You're Watching Over Me

                        You picked me up to touch the sky
                        You are the tear in my eye
                        God took you up to fly with him
                        He took you up to the Heavens ground
                        While I'm here walking around on Earth
                        You are now in Heaven watching over me
                        While I am here on Earth wishing to see your face
                        All I have of you are sweet memories
                        Though the night is closing in, I'm glad because you are watching over me

                        You took the pain from my life
                        Though you were just as bad in time
                        There is no time for me to cry
                        Because you don't want me to cry

                        You always told me to be brave,
                        To fight even though you're too weak, and
                        God will help you
                        So I fought until I couldn't fight any more then I let God take over
                        I won!

As I write this about you
I will always remember you

                        I know we will be together
                        One day in the same place
                        See you in Heaven

Veterans' Respect

                      I’m talking the ways you have already talked.
                   You showed love to a stranger, a person you never knew,
                     So in this letter, I’m saying thank you.
                     Thanks for the lack of struggle you gave me. In a way
                     You can say you paid me.
                      Paid me freedom I didn’t deserve; I will always respect
                      You. I give you my word.

                                        Dark Clouds By Matthew Holmes                                    I look in the sky, what do I see?
                                  A dark cloud hanging above me.
                                It’s not death; I don’t feel it's time.
                                  The answer is killing me; I’m losing my mind.
                                   I’m not afraid; afraid is not in my bones
                               But I’m finding it harder to breathe and stand strong.
                              I’m dying; I think its time for me to go.

                             I promise that we will have fights
                            I promise that at one point one of us will say I hate you.
                            I promise that there are two meanings for promise.
                            I promise that only one of those means what I mean.

I promise that this is what I mean: a declaration assuring that one will or will not do
I promise that the next two promises that I am about to make come straight from the heart. I promise that I will always be there for you I promise that we will be best friends always and forever no matter what happens.
