30-YEAR CLASS REUNION ANNOUNCEMENT

August 24, 2006

Dear Fellow Classmates,

It’s hard to believe it’s already been 30 years since we walked the halls of LBHS, but it’s true . . . just look in the mirror!  The reunion committee had planned an outrageous shindig to celebrate this awesome event memorializing our great times during our adolescence; however, Katrina put the kybosh on it big time.

Instead of deep-sixing the idea entirely, we’ve decided to have a “lite” reunion.  It will include riding in the homecoming parade on Thursday, September 28, attending the game Friday night on the 29th -- where we will sit in a section cordoned off for 76’er’s -- and finally, a charter boat excursion with Cat Island Adventures aboard CURLEW on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  CURLEW, a 47 passenger boat, is located in the Long Beach Harbor just off Highway 90 in Long Beach.  http://www.mscatisland.com.  We’ll have a casual mixer on Cat Island and then return.  If needed, a 2nd excursion will be booked allowing plenty of time for us to mingle.  Anyone with a boat willing to make the trip is welcomed – let us know!

The only cost to you will be your entrance to the game Friday night.  Please email and let us know if you can attend all or part of the functions.  The only frills we plan to have are nametags since it’s been a few years.

Please email any of us and let us know whether or not you plan to attend.  Please update your contact information:  address, phone number, email, etc.  If you’d rather use “snail mail” please send it to Mary Bowman, 120 Royal Drive, Long Beach, MS  39560.

Sincerely,                                YOUR REUNION COMMITTEE
