Ain't Much To That

by

Sherry CampbellŠ1999

"Ain't much to that", he'd so often said.

Of things he thought not much of or things he'd

come to dread.

I never took much notice of what he might have meant.

Or even in the kind of life this man had gone and spent.

He never really said much of what was on his mind,

Though, for sure, he'd known some trouble in his time.

Some said peculiar was his way and some still do perhaps today.

But as for me "ain't much to that" I'd have to say.
