Mosa Mohave

A Gem-- Vanished

A Glimpse of one who tasted life

Before the newfound meaning strife

Now a rare and precious face

Her's was once most commonplace

Broken down by ages past

this gem-stone vanished much too fast.

Born with dignity and pride

With strength and honor at her side

Respecting nature and the earth

For the richness of its worth

Never would she understand

The life of so called "Modern Man."

The fawn- colored skin and sable hair

Was confirmation to the habitat there

And eyes of rich mahogany hue

Allowed a hint of Mystic into view

Nature's cloth she made to style

A child-maiden all the while.

A rare and precious face

Now a nonexistent race

Broken down by ages past

This gem- stone vanished much too fast

How sad for us the age can't be

So we could know the little Mohave.
