An Answer.. I Finally See
It took seventeen years for me to see
To see what you and God did for me
You were His right from the start
Though I couldn't understand us being apart.
He took you when you were only a lamb
But somehow it made me become who I am
For the words I wrote just after you died
Were the first I knew I had inside.
It's taken some time for me to see
Though gone - you'll always be a part of me
Each time I write a new line of poetry.
