About genealogy, Carolyn's Nau (pron. 'now') family roots have been traced back to the 1500s in Germany. The Masters, going back generations may connect with a Campbell family in Scotland and with Dietz, Piercy, Jones, Alderson, and Darnell families in Fayette and Greenbrier Counties, West Virginia. Migration may have been from Liverpool, England through Warwick Town, Orange County, New York to West Virginia and Warren County, Kentucky.
In David's family are five grown daughters: Gail Renee Vallejo, Sharon Marie Masters, Janice Elaine Morriss, Diane Lea Masters, and Carol Jean Meadows; a granddaughter: Cecelia Vaye Morriss; two sons-in-law:   Brett Morriss and Royce Vallejo; a brother and sister-in-law: Bill and Anna Masters; a niece and her husband: Fleur and Kurt Brenning; a grandniece:  Emily; and two half cousins:  Jane Manning and Clayborne Masters, Jr. (back in 2005 from eleven months duty in Iraq).
