“William Teller PC Banking”
The Peoples Bank and Trust

Imageworks director Randy King recently completed a series of thirty-second spots for Peoples Bank of Tupelo Mississippi for Jackson agency Broderick/Bates Advertising.

The unique spots brought together Imageworks’ Silicon Graphics digital computer efxs capability with a live-action director Randy King.

The spots feature the bank’s PC banking services under the theme of their long running William Teller campaign.

In the spots a costumed-actor portrayed the archer, William Teller. As he aimed and shot, his arrow became a rod of lightning and moved as a streak of light toward a computer monitor.

The otherwise straight-forward live-action shoot provided footage that was merged with the lightning bolts, moving plasma charges and static electricity effect that were created and composited in the SGI system.

SGI artist John David used a variety of software solutions to create the final results including AfterEffects and Matador paint.

The Creative Director for BBA was Vidal Blankenstein.
