Metropolitan Crime Commission Jim Dollarhide approached the little known citizens crime group with an offer to do an awareness campaign to focus public attention on the growing crime problems in our area. The resulting controversial television campaign produced with the help of the GodwinGroup made front-page headlines in The Clarion Ledger for five days in a row. It also made the newspapers editorial page three days straight. It was on the 6 oclock news every day for a week. Constant media attention to these commercials helped establish an undeniable identity for the Metropolitan Crime Commission. |
