Mississippi’s public image has been plagued by negative publicity that dates back 30 years. Although we have made tremendous strides, outsiders still view us in a negative light. This film captures the essence of today’s Mississippi in an audio/visual tapestry of industrial success stories, high-tech manufacturing, small-town quality of life, ethnic culture, and natural beauty. These elements of modern Mississippi are woven together with the thread of Delta blues and gospel choirs. It shows the best of who and what we are. World-class products that are produced by a quality labor force who call Mississippi’s small towns home. The first objective: breakdown preconceived notions about Mississippi. Viewers come away questioning their misconceptions and ready to draw their own conclusions.
