Prozac Survivor Website

Basic Information about the site.

Prozac Survivors is a website devoted to information about Prozac. It is mainly a group of links to other sites that I have found scattered about the web. It is not anti-prozac, rather it is a "prozac is a powerful drug that you need to know about" site.

I started the site because as a survivor myself I had a hard time finding information about what was happening to me. I am one of those people for whom prozac is "contraindicated." A burned out computer technician who took prozac for stress relief because a co-worker had and the results, for him, were outstanding.

The site has changed since I started it, and will probably continue to evolve. Due to some heartbreaking email I have received and the very serious nature of the subject, I realized that this page is necessary. Which is another way of saying here are the 4 disclaimers:

Is this the Prozac Survivors Support Group?

No, I started this site when PSSGI's site was in transition (offline) and I didn't know they existed. Unfortunately I plastered my site all over most search engines and about a month later PSSGI came back online. At present (8/9/97) they are under construction. We are not affiliated with each other except by the common bond of shared experiences and a desire to put prozac information on the web. I have prominently displayed their phone number and the link to their site.

Are you affiliated with Prozac: Panacea Or Pandora?

No. My only affiliation with Dr. Ann Tracy is as an extremely grateful reader of her book. I used some of the solutions she offered in her book. And the knowledge from the book helped me to understand the chemically induced insanity into which I was suddenly plunged.

How do I get my information/product on this site?

At present my policy is to link to other sites for everything I didn't write myself (with the exception of personal stories). If you have a site with prozac information, please email me the URL and I will almost certainly link to you. (Certifiabley insane sites excluded...unless they have some humor value.)

I would like to tell my story. Will you put it on your website?

Maybe. Subject to editing. Just send your story to me by email. If you do NOT wish anonymity, please state that clearly at the bottom of the letter. Otherwise I'll strip out identification when I convert the email to html format.
