I also noted some of the oddities mentioned in "The Independent" article. I've now discovered that the entire Steven's report is on-line via the BBC at The Stevens report in full. Be forewarned that the report is 800+ pages in pdf format. It make "choke' some computers. After you read and cross check facts, the most rationale explanation I can offer is that it appears obvious that there are certain facts that the Royals would just as soon not have come forward. There are too many cases of stone walling. Yesterday, when I read that MI6 has been told they must produce their file on Diana for the upcoming inquest, my immediate thought was why was MI6 keeping a file on Diana. There also the curious business of the American NSA or Secret Service bugging Diana telephone. And until yesterday, I was not aware that there had been written communication between Prince Philip and Diana after the divorce, but Philip refused to hand over the letters to the Stevens's report. Too much of this has the ring of Richard Nixon and Executive Privilege. Or George W. Bush, and I'll do what I want, Executive Privilege or not. PAX! Erin Go Braugh!
